Yes, because a family member, was the problem. Whenever you have immediate family members of a health problem, the risk of developing the same problem (s) are important.

It's spelled melanoma, and you may at risk. You are doing the right thing by using a sunscreen. Also, try to stay outside to sun 10-2. Consult a dermatologist and have your skin checked.

The sunburn may eventually cause skin cancer. If you ask me whether they are more at risk than the average, as would the story of your father, I say, yes, a little higher. The use of sunscreen, clothing and hats, sunglasses and UV filters for all of us smart. Keep the sunscreen and remember to pay attention to your skin. There are changes ordered by a dermatologist if you are sure they are harmless.

The first thing to do is do not panic!

Looks like you made the right choice with plenty of sunscreen. You should also make sure to wear a hat and, if possible, not in the sun at noon, when it gets warmer.

This is a wake-up call for you, you have to keep an eye on your skin if you notice any changes in moles or freckles notice or folds of skin you need to reach a doctor. Please note that your skin like this and be aware of changes and take them seriously.

Make sure you give your father a lot of love and support I am sure he will be fine. It would make a good idea to make an appointment with your doctor for your own peace of mind.

Good luck to you and your father.
